2016 Democratic presidential candidate former Gov. Martin O’Malley (D-MD) is requesting that the country make voting a “constitutional right” to encourage people to vote.
“We need to address the need for democracy reform in our own country,” O’Malley said. “That means a constitutional right to vote so we don’t see in places especially like Mississippi and North Carolina, Georgia and Florida sort of the, you know, the thousand cuts that shave off and discourage people from voting.”
“The future of our country is the future of more inclusion for more people.”
